Slots

The Slots, or a Slot Machine Game, is an abstract game where a single player activates a randomized mechanism which mostly or singlehandedly determines the result of the game, typically without much or any ability by the player to influence said result. The Slots are usually played for money, with the mechanism being activated by either pressing a large button or pulling a lever. In the realm of video games, Slots tend to be included as a sub-game and not as the only playable aspect.

Slots-reducible games tend to draw their appeal from flashy and grandiose asthetics, or from the appeal of a possible lucrative reward by the mechanism, the latter of which would necessitate the game existing within a larger context to give the reward some value, such as a cash prize or a collectible item.
