About three weeks ago I mentioned how I wanted to move to linux, and I was planning to buy a new SSD to move to once I do that. I was wondering whether I should buy the SSD to force myself to move my ass and actually start doing things, but I figured “eh, I should only get my SSD once I test out a linux distro. No reason to have it gathering dust in my closet.”

About two weeks back, a serious price-hike started in the world of PC components, including but not limited to RAM and SSD prices, because of AI datacenters buying them all out.

“Oh fuck, oh shit,” I said to myself, “I should buy one quick before the hike hits the local stores.”

I open the store’s website and
